(iii) When the fuselage fuel tanks are fitted and the immersed pump is switched on, with the fuel cocks set to MAIN SUPPLY, the engines are fed from the fuselage tanks. If the contents of the inboard and centre tanks fall under these conditions, a stoppage of the supply from the fuselage tanks is indicated. This may be due to:-

(a) Fuselage tanks empty.

(b) Failure of pumps.

(c) At high altitudes the pressurising of the inboard and centre tanks may raise the pressure in these tanks so that fuel is fed from them instead of from the fuselage tanks. To restore the supply from the fuselage tanks the pressure venting control may be set OFF.
